Abstract

The presentation will be divided into two parts. In the first part, we will examine the changes that have taken place in Galician innovation policy from the late 1990s to 2020. Particular attention will be given to the learning mechanisms that have shaped the evolution of this policy. In the second part, we will present a preliminary study on the implementation and outcomes of the Galician RIS3 strategies, from its inception in 2014 to the present day. We will focus specifically on two prioritized sectors—biotechnology and aerospace—comparing the policy support provided and the results achieved in each case.
