NIPE organised the 16th edition of the Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Economic Journal (PEJ), which took place on 7 and 8 July 2023, at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho.
The Annual Meeting of the Portuguese Economic Journal is an international conference that addresses the various themes of Economics, with the collaboration of the universities that host it in its organisation. As usual, this year’s event was attended by several professors, researchers and students in the field of Economics.
During the two days, participants had the opportunity to attend several sessions and lectures, where the latest research advances in the field of Economics were presented. The welcome session of the 16th Annual Meeting was attended by the chair of the local organising committee and director of NIPE, Miguel Portela, the editor of PEJ, Luís Costa, and the President of EEG, Cláudia Simões.
In addition, the Meeting also included a very diversified social programme, allowing the conviviality among the participants, namely during the lunches, the dinner, the football match and the visit to the village of Sistelo, in Viana do Castelo, promoted by the local organising committee.
