About

Tiago is an academic economist with primary research interests in sovereign debt default crises, firm dynamics, business cycle fluctuations, and labor markets. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Rochester in 2015. His work has been featured in leading journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Development Economics, and Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. He is currently affiliated with NIPE at Minho University, where he continues to develop research in international macroeconomics.
