Ana Paula Faria and Natália Barbosa, professors of the EEG Economics Department and NIPE researchers were distinguished through the article “Digital adoption and productivity: understanding micro drivers of the aggregate effect” with the Award for Best Scientific Article on the “Economic Impact of Digitalisation in Portugal”. This award is promoted by the Office of Strategy and Studies (GEE) in collaboration with Google and the Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society (APDSI), which distinguishes scientific works/articles on the economic impact of digitalization in Portugal. This article, among other perspectives, aims to empirically assess the relationship between the adoption of digital technologies and productivity.
