Biography

Natalia Millán Acevedo has been a professor in the Department of Political Science and Administration at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) since 2018. She holds a PhD in Political Science from UCM, with master’s degrees in International Development and Aid and Contemporary Latin American Studies. She is a specialist in the political theory of sustainable development, the Anthropocene crisis, policy coherence, and Agenda 2030. She has developed research projects that combine theoretical analysis with case studies from Europe and Latin America, resulting in more than a hundred academic publications. Author of the book Politics, Emotions, and Spirituality: Emancipating Consciousness, Weaving Community Networks, and Transforming Our Worlds. Winner of several awards, including the UCM Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Award (2013). She actively collaborates in transnational networks and projects for the integration of sustainable development in the university context.
